Abstract

Islamic education in Saudi Arabia applies both pattern of traditional thinking development-based revelation and pattern of rational thought. The patterns changes when it appeared the renewal of thought in the Muslim world, marked by the establishment of the Salafi movement, Wahabiyah, Sanusiyah, and education reform in Egypt that gave birth to three patterns of education reform on Islamic world, namely: 1) pattern of modern education oriented; 2) pattern of refining back to Islamic teachings; and 3) pattern of nationalism oriented. The fall of Ottoman Turkey was triggered by internal and external factors. The internal factors marked by the more weak values of unity, the morals and civilization of Islam, the influence of Western civilization, the modernization and secularization. The external factors, because Turkey was dragged into the war, when the block of Germany-Italy and Japan, Turkey was surrendered and formally collapsed in 1918.
